Asian Network of Cultural Intermediaries

About ANCI

The Asian Network of Cultural Intermediaries (ANCI) is a project conducted by Taiwan Association of Cultural Policy Studies(TACPS) in a joint effort of National Taiwan University of Arts, Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, and National Culture and Arts Foundation. In this project, we aim to link Taiwan’s cultural intermediaries and think tanks to converge ideas and opinions on cultural affairs.

We strive to establish professional partnerships among cultural intermediaries in Taiwan and beyond. We have invited organisations from Asian countries:

Singapore (National Arts Council, NAC), South Korea (Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, KCTI), and Europe (European network on cultural management and policy, ENCATC) to join our international forum to exchange the expertise and experiences. More organisations are expected to participate as our strategic partners. ANCI aspires to be an international and inter-disciplinary communication platform for cultural intermediaries.

In the ANCI project, we further create public forums and regular conversations among cultural intermediaries—in the public, private, and the third sectors. With the principle of cultural autonomy, ANCI creates an interface for regular and constructive conversations. Through the network, we facilitate cultural exchanges among the private and public sectors to foster cultural diversity and sustainable development.
